Ep 1: How Will Non-Chinese Get Back into China? Flight and immigration process
In different terms this reduces to:Pre-flight Prep → Check-in / Baggage Drop → Security Gate → Flight → China Landings (Health Quarantine, Immigration, Baggage Claim, Customs)
Phase 1: Pre-Mobility (Most Critical)
Check Passport and Visa:
Passport: Ensure that passport is not less than 6 months after leave China, and be blank
Visa in China — Foreigners need to apply for a Chinese visa in most circumstances prior to arriving in China. Obtain one in advance, at the nearby China government office/branch for a suitable visa (by and large an L-guest visa) inside your nation. Entry without a visa is not subject to this, such as enjoy 144-hour transit without a visa policy, or Have a passport from a country where a mutual exemption of visa has been established with China, such as UAE, Qatar, Serbia, etc
Booking the Flight and hotel : Prepare your Flight schedule and Hotel reservation in advance since you will be needing it for the visa and also at the point of Entry.
IMPORTANT!!! Here you need to: 1. Complete China Customs Health Declaration ):
China Health Declaration Travelers are now required to fill out Police People\'s Republic of China Exit/Entry Health Declaration Form
Guide to FillGot it beforehand or onboard, the easiest overwrite it in advance through the WeChat mini-program\'China Customs Passenger Fingerprint Service\' before departure or on the flight. Once you achieve this, you are given a QR code. You will also have to show this to customs when you partner in to China so screenshot it
Step 2: Airport in Your home country, where you are cleared.
Check-in & Baggage Drop:To go to the airline check-in counter to present the passport and visa, collect your boarding pass (BP) and check in your baggage.
SECURITY CHECK: Airport Security Scanning
Exit Immigration (Border Control For Your Country):Before heading to your gate, your path will cross with that of your home country and you will have to deal with exit immigration. On an average day, those same officers here will just look at your passport and boarding pass and stamp you out of your passport.
Step 3: During the Flight
Flight attendants might distribute\\"Arrival Cards. However, it is worth noting that health these days has largely replaced the paper Arrival Cards at most Chinese ports of entry in less than 15 minutes. But better safe than sorry: fill it out if you get sent it. The workhorse of the document is the Health Declaration QR Code created in Step 1.
Step 4: Arrival in China
It is going to be the next step and you need to know about it all. Simply follow the \\"Arrivals\\" signs. The sequence is typically:
Health Quarantine:
This is the first checkpoint. You need to present theHealth Declaration QR codegenerated in your mobile device to the officer. They may read it with scanner and ask you if you are in good health.
Immigration/Entry Inspection:
This is the step that, we can here, call it the most crucial up over here. Proceed to the\\"Foreign Passport\\"lanes and queue.
Approach the immigration officer when your turn comes and show the following —
Your Passport
Your Boarding Pass
Your Chinese Visa
The officer will ask a few questions such as: What are you doing here? How long will you be here? Where will you be staying? Answer truthfully and concisely.
When checking your passport, the officer are going to stamp theChinese Entry Stampon your passport. To date, who here has entered illegally in China.
Baggage Claim:
Consult the info displays to find the carousel for your flight and pick up your checked baggage.
Customs Inspection:
The wait before customs, the last hurdle after picking up your luggage. All it does is check the items that you have in your stock.
Non-declaring excess cash(in cash exceed of the limits, commercial goods) go through the the \\'Nothing to Declare\\' channel(Green Channal)/Go through Green (Nothing to Declare) Channel if you do not have anything to declares. For the most part you walk on through but every now and then bags will be isolated to be put through the x-ray for random inspection only.
Go through the \"Goods to Declare\" channel (Red Channel) and Fill in a declaration (If You Have Goods To Declare).
Congratulations! Right after you pass through the customs the fun begins on your trip in China!
Returning Home to Your Country After China (pt2)
Like the way in but backwards, and just equally as important: Transit airport → Check In / Bag Drop → Exit formalities China → Via Security → In Flight → Landing and Entry Your Country
Step 1 — Departure of Chinese airport
Arrival at Airport:Check-in at the airline counter, passport confirmation, receive boarding pass and checking-in bags
Health Declaration:If the exit health declare is still needed like the entrance health declare, you still need to fill out the exit health declare in \'China Customs Passenger Fingerprint Service\' mini-program applets, and then generate a QR code screenshot it out.
China Exit Immigration:
After the security check, you will arrive at the Chinese exit immigration counters. Queue in the\\"Foreign Passport\\"lanes.
Show Passport and boarding passto theofficer Then the officer will check how many times you are in China to ensure that there is a long time you are out of China then he/she will instantly stamp the Chinese Exit Stamp for your passport.
Go through security: You will be screened prior to entering the international departure lounge.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GATE! Get on the flight.
Step 2: During the Flight
Even if there was no immigration after getting off the plane, flight attendants might be distributing the entry card (or the customs declaration form of your home country, the CBP form for the USA, the Incoming Passenger Card for Australia). Fill these during the flight.
How to get home and once you land back in your country Step 3:
Your Country\\'s Entry Immigration:
Disembark and follow the signs that say \"Arrival\" Queue in lanes for the citizen or the foreign traveller as required
Present yourPassportto the officer. Over here, a citizen is probably going to get asked at once where he was going to be heading and for how long he would disappear for.
International Baggage Claim:Once you get off the airplane you go to the carousel to collect your check in baggage.
Your Country\\'s Customs Inspection:
Customs clearance at the final destination country Use the right of declaration. Officials may randomly inspect luggage.
Congratulations, you made it through the entire international travel experience and you are home!

Allow time to prepare at the airport: For your international flight, it is best to come to the airport 3 hours before, at least depending on the destination.

Language — Most of the big airports in China have English speaking staff to help, but signage is predominantly in Chinese. Seriously chill because they are fucking high on the food chain and speak some basic English.
So, we hope this manual will help foreign friends to make a trip to China smoothly! Have a pleasant journey!
